Vacation

Hey, that last Mac Dre interview is it for now as far as the classic shit.

Also, I'm leaving tonight for a 10 day trip to the Northeast and will be hitting Maine, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut and New Hampshire so I won't have anything new up for a minute.

Once I get back though I'm scheduling all new interviews with tons of cats so check back in a few weeks and I'll have lots of new content for ya.

Peace.

man, if you gonna be interviewing anyone who got a hyphy sounding song tell them to fuck with me! the management at a lot of these indie labels are straight RETARDS. i done holla'd at hella fools, but they hear the word 'mp3' and they get scared. they put up a couple preview tracks on their myspace page, which gets like 75 hits a day from mostly bay cats who gonna buy the damn album anyway, instead of fucking wit me and getting over 1,000 hits a day, nationwide, mostly college students and others interested in the bay sound. i know you personally aint feelin the hyphy sound, but help the bay to blow up, doxx!

Hey yo, since you mentioned Mac Dre, I been trying to remember-did Stoopid Doo Doo Dumb come out in '97 or '98? Anybody know?
As for what Yayo said... can't really blame cats for being oversensitive about MP3s. I don't care what anyone says, that shit IS killing everybody's sales. But since it's promotional use we're talking about, I'd suggest phrasing it as "internet singles" (aimed at "the internet audience", or college kids) or some slick bullshit. Let 'em know they can really turn a negative into a positive, because really, they're not doing all they can do with that myspace shit. I'm not feeling the hyphy sound either though, but broadening the audience for bay rap is a good thing any way you look at it.
